Devising New Work
Whether creating theatrical works from novels, or creating verbatim documentary theatre from interviews, the work in the theatre is centered on creativity and imagining how the text translates to image and visual storytelling.
This type of work invigorates creative processes by involving actors and designers as key collaborators in the process. Here, in particularly Viewpoints training serves as a fertile ground for teaching the entire creative team to behave as composers of text, body, space, and time. This composer role empowers all the creators to work in an ensemble of equals, invigorating the artistic process and producing great, challenging theatre.
