Elizabeth Rex by Timothy Findley

In this play, Elizabeth I visits the actors after a performance on the night that her servant Kent is being put to death for high treason.  She is passing the time, questioning her actions, and stays to drink and talk with the actors through the bleak night and into morning.  We follow her journey as an actor herself as she struggles through playing the queen.
